Description
My studio/home is in the Catskill Mountains of New York state, and so each of the four seasons emerge to provide me with material.
As the year unfolds through the seasons, flowers, plants, trees, and grass on my property emerge as a shifting pallet of textures and colors.
When in bloom, I will often cut some from the stem and for a short time I am able to study and record them with light and lens. As the bloom dries, colors deepen with time and stems twist and wither. This process is an opportunity to examine and record the complex changes that these elements undergo over the course of their lives.
